Alison Larkin Koushki
Originally from Boston, Alison is a senior language educator in American University of Kuwait’s Intensive English Program. Alison’s students activate language and life skills by engaging theatrically in novels, stories, poems, and songs. Alison has presented her approach at regional and international conferences and published in journals such as TESOL Arabia’s “Perspectives.” Her book chapter entitled “Integrating Language and Life Skills: Engaging in English Through Literature, Drama, and the Arts” will soon appear. Alison is also the founder and chair of REALL: Read English Actively for Language and Life, an international organization devoted to celebrating world cultures through language and the arts.
